LABIA MAJORA ENHANCEMENT OR REDUCTION

For some women, the labia majora (outer lips of the vagina) can be a source of embarrassment. When the labia majora are enlarged, they can show through clothing, especially tighter clothing such as yoga pants or jeans. For others, they have lost the soft tissue inside the labia majora, which has caused them to have a deflated appearance and/or also sexual discomfort.

LABIA MAJORA ENHANCEMENT WITH DERMAL FILLERS

Dr. Schwartz treats many women with in-office dermal fillers such as Restylane and Juvéderm for a simple, in-office rejuvenation of the labia majora. Using these fillers gives you better control of the size since they are injected while you are awake — together you and Dr. Schwartz will decide how much and in what areas to place the filler.

LABIA MAJORA ENHANCEMENT WITH FAT GRAFTING

A very popular procedure is to take fat from unwanted areas and add it to areas that are needed or wanted. As part of a larger liposuction procedure, Dr. Schwartz can take some of the excess fat and inject it into the labia majora. This has the advantage of placing your own natural tissue.

LABIA MAJORA REDUCTION – TISSUE REDUCTION OR SKIN REDUCTION

Dr. Schwartz will help you address whether there is excess tissue, making the labia majora too plump, or excess skin that is sagging or possibly even both.

LABIA MAJORA TISSUE REDUCTION

If there is excess tissue, Dr. Schwartz may suggest performing liposuction to remove excess tissue to create a more aesthetically pleasing size and shape. If there is also excess skin, then it is possible to remove the excess skin as part of an in-office labia majora reduction.

LABIA MAJORA SKIN REDUCTION

Sagging skin can happen anywhere in the body, including the vagina. As part of comprehensive vaginal rejuvenation, Dr. Schwartz may suggest removing the excess skin. This in-office procedure allows you and Dr. Schwartz to identify the excess and also try to correct for asymmetries. As part of the Schwartz Rapid Recuperation™, most women can go to work the next day and resume sexual activity in two weeks.
