One of the most common cosmetic surgery procedures in southern California after a major weight loss is brachioplasty, sometimes referred to as an arm reduction, arm reshaping or an arm lift. The LipoLift® arm lift is a skin tightening/skin removal procedure that treats the underside of the upper arms by trimming loose skin, removing excess fat with liposuction, and tightening the underlying tissues. Plastic surgeon Dr. Jaime Schwartz offers arm lift surgery for patients throughout the Beverly Hills and Los Angeles area who desire tighter, more toned looking arms.

Signature arm lift
Clients that would benefit from a signature LipoLift® arm lift have excess and unsightly loose skin on their arms that causes them discomfort and may even interfere with finding proper fitting clothing.
The goal of this procedure is to restore a more natural look to the arms. Dr. Jaime Schwartz's signature arm lift has been designed to tighten the arms while leaving the most amount of lymphatic, nerve, and blood vessels behind. This allows patients to heal quicker with minimal trauma to the area. Dr. Schwartz has presented this specialized arm lift technique at national conferences, including FDRS (Fat Disorders Research Society), when discussing how to treat patients with lipedema that require specialized care.
After Arm Lift Surgery
After your LipoLift® arm lift procedure, Dr. Schwartz will place compression garments on the treated area to aid in healing and recovery. You will be able to use your arms after surgery, in a moderate way. Most arm lift patients are able to resume full activity within a week of having the procedure, but Dr. Schwartz recommends avoiding strenuous physical activity for about six weeks after.
When you leave Dr. Jaime S. Schwartz’s Beverly Hills office, your follow-up appointment will be set, and you’ll visit us within a few days to check on your progress.

Arm Lift FAQs
The results from your arm lift procedure should be noticeable immediately. After your arm lift you will have smoother, tighter, more youthful looking skin on your upper arms. Your results should be permanent, as long as you maintain a stable weight and follow the post-surgical guidelines from Dr. Schwartz.
What About Scarring?
Dr. Schwartz carefully selects his incision pattern to best disguise scarring, and uses expert closures and dressings to provide optimal healing of the incisions.
Arm lifts are an ideal procedure for clients that have excess or lax skin from weight loss and normal aging. The signature arm lift can be performed along with other body contouring procedures such as a thigh lift, abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), breast lift, or bra line back lift.
how much fat will be removed?
All lifting procedures result in greatly improved body contouring, and an arm lift can leave you with toned and more youthful looking arms, but this procedure is not intended for weight loss. If weight loss is a concern for you, you can discuss your body goals with Dr. Schwartz during your initial consultation and together you can find a comprehensive treatment plan that best fits your individual needs.
