What is Ehlers Danlos
As a condition that affects the connective tissues (skin, joints, and blood vessels), Ehlers-Danlos can cause overly flexible joints, as well as abnormally flexible and fragile skin. Typically, this syndrome becomes an issue if an individual with the condition undergoes a procedure that requires stitches, as the skin is not durable enough to support them. Additionally, it can cause significant abdominal wall laxity. At our Beverly Hills, CA practice, board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Jaime Schwartz performs abdominoplasty with specialized techniques in order to help correct the side effects of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. During a thorough consultation, Dr. Schwartz will evaluate the specific characteristics of your Ehler-Danlos condition before creating a customized procedure plan to yield optimal results. Ehlers-Danlos can occur in different forms, but the most common symptoms are exceptionally stretchy skin, fragile skin, and joints that are overly flexible. This may cause the skin to heal abnormally, especially following a procedure that requires sutures, as well as joint pain. Individuals with the vascular type of Ehlers-Danlos may also experience weakened aortas, uterine walls, and/or large intestines. In severe cases, rupture of blood vessels can occur.
"Dr Schwartz is fantastic! He has the kindest bedside manner, as he is is patient, making sure to explain everything and answer all my questions. I felt extremely comfortable with him the entire time (despite the fact that I am usually very shy, especially with my body). My priority is to keep things natural and Dr Schwartz was on the same page. He has incredible skill. I could not be happier with my result!"- R.L. / Google / Feb 08, 2019
"60 yr old’s Real Results - I’m 60.. I don’t want to look 40 or even 50. I just want to look like the best me. I go in and ask for Botox. “I want it here.. here... and maybe a little here” He says, “let’s try this.. here, here and here” As a patient I think I know what’s best. But as a patient I don’t know all the others wonderful options. His experience makes me feel confident that when I leave I’ll look Fabulous and I did. This is why I make the over an hour drive. Because he really is a caring, skilled doctor with my best interest in mind every time. Thank you, Diana Sanchez"- Anonymous / Vitals / Apr 05, 2019

"If I could give 6 stars I would!! Dr. Schwartz is AMAZING!!!!!!!! I have been researching breast augmentation doctors for the past three years and have been on numerous consultations. The minute I met with Dr. Schwartz, I knew I was in excellent hands. Dr. Schwartz treats you like a family member instead of a patient. He is very honest and really takes his time with you. Dr. S is an artist!!!! I was very scared of the pain for a breast aug because all my friends who had their boobs done said it feels like an elephant is sitting in their chest. Not to mention, I have the lowest pain tolerance ever!!!!!! ( accupuncture hurts me). I'm not sure the technique he uses, but I had ZERO pain and only took ibuprofen. The day after surgery I was shopping at home goods ( but not lifting anything). I was and am still blown away that I didn't have ANY pain!!!! My boobs look great and natural and I couldn't be any happier. I have now started going to Dr. Schwartz for my Botox and filler. He is amazing with that too. I can honestly go on and on about how great he is, but the truth is, you have to go see him for yourself. My first consultation he spent 2 hours with me and answered every question I had. The office staff is great too. Nicole and Dawn are amazing too."- L.W. / Yelp / May 30, 2018
"Thank You Dr. Schwartz, I Couldn't Be Happier! - I'm a petite, fit, 65 year old with breasts ( 32DD ,I weigh 105) that were out of proportion and saggy. For years I wanted to do a breast reduction and lift, but was too afraid of the procedure. Here I am, 6 weeks later, with great breasts, that are in perfect proportion and I couldn't be happier. My intention, once I finally decided I was going to do the procedure, had been to consult with..."- S. / RealSelf / Jan 15, 2019
