Swelling and Recovery from Breast Surgery

Apr 28, 2018 | Breast

How long will it take for the swelling to go down after breast surgery? This is a common question for many women considering a breast augmentation.

Due to our Rapid Recovery Breast Augmentation, most women are back to daily life pretty quickly. I tell everyone the day of surgery they can walk home if they want to. By the next day most people feel well enough to go to dinner. My main concern is not using your upper body to early on to decrease any chance of complications.

Overall, a conservative timeline is the first week is the hard one, by two weeks you feel better and can start hiking or stationary bike, by four weeks to feel 100% and can start to slowly use your upper body more and at 6 weeks you can begin your normal exercise routine.

If you have concerns about your healing process after a breast augmentation, please contact us and we will answer your questions.
