DIscussing Nipple Reduction
During a personalized nipple reduction consultation with Dr. Schwartz, you will discuss your individual goals and desires. Nipples could be elongated and protrude through clothing. Or they could be very wide and not fit the size of the breast or chest. It’s very possible to have both elongated and very wide nipples. Dr. Schwartz will take measurements to accurately assess for asymmetries as well as determine proper size and shape to complement your body.
After performing hundreds of Nipple Reductions, Dr. Schwartz has perfected his signature technique. No matter how long a nipple protrudes, Dr. Schwartz can reduce the length with almost no visible scarring. If the nipple is wide, this can also be reduced at the same time to create a more symmetrical and complementary nipple. The procedure may be performed in the operating room along with any other breast and body procedures. But most clients have this performed in the office utilizing the Schwartz Rapid Recovery™ technique. When performed in the office, it allows you and Dr. Schwartz to work together as a team to precisely mark and tailor the procedure to your goals and body. It also allows you to see the results right away.
His specialized technique with local anesthesia allows most clients to have the procedure without any discomfort. The procedure usually takes less than an hour to reshape, reduce and resize the nipple.
Due to the Schwartz Rapid Recovery™ technique, almost all clients return to work the next day. About 40% will take regular Advil or Tylenol with the most not needing any pain medications. Dr. Schwartz will give you a nipple protector to wear under your bra for 2 weeks during the healing process. Dissolvable sutures are used so there is no discomfort of suture removal. Overall, most clients can have a Signature Nipple Reduction without missing anything in their daily lives.
Nipple Reduction Reviews
"So natural - Dr Schwartz is a great listener. I told him I wanted a very small implant, very natural. I got exactly that. We did low profile, 215cc’s, and you would never know I had my boobs “done,” just that they look great. He also did a perfect nipple reduction. I’m so happy with the results and so appreciate Dr Schwartz’s great bedside manner. He immediately makes you feel comfortable — and follows through with exactly what you ask for."- E.S. / RealSelf / Jun 15, 2019

Patients may not realize just how much nipple appearance affects them but may not know there is an in-office treatment for this. If you're dissatisfied with the size and shape of your nipples and desire increased confidence, then a nipple reduction can address these concerns. A minimally invasive technique can be used to present you with a more natural-looking and pleasing nipple size that matches your breasts. Referred to as the "nipple whisperer," Dr. Schwartz has many years of experience with nipple and breast procedures, refining his approach to give you the best results possible. Call our Beverly Hills plastic surgery office to find out more about this surgery and schedule your consultation today.
What To Expect
This procedure is performed in the office with local anesthesia or can be combined with any other surgeries if desired. If this is the only treatment, then you can return home the same day. Dr. Schwartz's rapid recovery nipple reduction technique has been perfected to create a smaller, more appropriate nipple size that is matched to your body and breast. His technique allows for hidden scars that blend into the nipple and areola while still maintaining nipple sensation and function (breastfeeding). Dr. Schwartz removes the extra outer tissue and brings the nipple closer to the base of the areola, which shortens the nipple but leaves everything attached. He can also decrease the width of the nipple at the same time to naturally blend the incisions and create an appearance that best fits your body.
There is usually little to no pain associated with this procedure, and you can go back to work the next day. Dr. Schwartz will have you wear a nipple protector under your bra for two weeks while it is healing. It may take several months for your final results to appear as the nipples settle into their new position over time. Once healed, you can enjoy improved self-confidence, sexuality, and the ability to wear revealing clothing without worry of your nipple size. The results should be long lasting, though their appearance can be altered by natural aging and childbirth/breastfeeding.
Due to the Rapid Recovery technique, almost all clients return to work either the next day or very soon after treatment. About 40% will take regular Advil or Tylenol with the most not needing any pain medications. Dr. Schwartz will give you a nipple protector to wear under your bra for 2 weeks during the healing process. Dissolvable sutures are used so there is no discomfort of suture removal. Overall, most clients can have nipple reduction surgery without missing a beat in their daily lives.
