PROCEDURE TECHNIQUE
Kybella® is completed during an appointment in one of our treatment rooms. Dr. Schwartz will often apply a numbing cream to the treated area, if preferred, once the skin is cleansed. The injection session lasts around 15 minutes, which comprises of multiple small injections into the upper neck area. Patients may need a single treatment to achieve their desired goal, while other patients may require several injections spaced three weeks between each appointment at Dr. Jaime S. Schwartz.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Kybella® treatments do not need general anesthesia, so you can leave our office when you are ready to return to your usual routine. Your recovery shouldn't last more than 2 – 3 days. Contact Dr. Jaime S. Schwartz right away if you are feeling any unusual symptoms. While the fat cells eliminated by Kybella® do not regenerate, the cells that remain can get larger, so you must keep a stable weight after your Kybella® treatments to keep new pockets of fat from developing.
