About Renuva

Beverly Hills board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Jamie S. Schwartz is pleased to offer Renuva allograft adipose matrix, a fat-derived injectable filler that adds small amounts of volume while improving the tone and texture of your skin. Combining the natural-looking and long-lasting results of a fat transfer with the ease of an injectable dermal filler, Renuva can be performed quickly without anesthesia or incisions. Made from carefully selected and purified donor fat that is cleared by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Renuva can improve age-related volume loss in your hands, fill in fine lines and moderate wrinkles on your face, correct irregularities created by breast implants and liposuction, as well as add a smooth shape to your buttocks. It is a versatile product that can be used for different cosmetic reason in various areas on the body. Once Renuva integrates with your body, it can help to encourage natural fat growth for sustained results. If you are interested in trying Renuva or learning more about this unique filler treatment, contact our office in Beverly Hills to schedule a consultation with our expert plastic surgeon, Dr. Jaime S. Schwartz.

Ideal Candidates

Renuva is used to add small amounts of volume and to smooth skin irregularities. It's a good choice if you want the natural-looking improvements created by fat grafting without liposuction or anesthesia. You may also consider Renuva if you have been using dermal fillers, like Juvéderm or Radiesse, but want something that lasts longer. Renuva is safe for most areas of the body, including the face, hands, chest, hands, and buttocks. Renuva is commonly used to reverse age-related volume loss in the hands and is a popular choice for men and women hoping to turn back the hands of time by improving fine lines on the face. It can also be used to correct breast implant irregularities, smooth the shape of the buttocks, divots created by liposuction surgery, or to fill in cellulite dimples. During your consultation with Dr. Schwartz, he will listen to your concerns before determining if Renuva is right for your needs and goals. Our plastic surgery center offers numerous options and will be chosen accordingly to attain the best results.

Procedure Technique

Renuva injections are performed by Dr. Schwartz in our Beverly Hills office. In most cases, Renuva injections only take ten minutes. After your custom treatment plan is created during your consultation, Dr. Schwartz will prepare you for the procedure. After the area is cleaned, he will make several injections of Renuva under your skin at strategic points. During this process, he will gently massage the injection site to ensure the filler is even and properly placed. Once the injections are complete, Dr. Schwartz will assess the skin, determine if enough filler was used, and allow you to see your results (which will be evident almost immediately).

What to Expect

Since Renuva injections are performed without anesthesia, you will be able to leave our office after the procedure and resume your normal activities. You should avoid strenuous activity, like exercise, for at least a few days to give your body time to rest and heal. You may be able to see some improvements from your Renuva injections right away, but it will take at least eight weeks before your full results are visible. If you need another treatment, it can be performed in about 3 – 6 months.
